About Portland Hood Cleaning
Where did it all start?
I was born and raised between two different cities; Portland, Maine - where my mother lived and San Diego, California - where my father lived. Unfortunately, this meant I had to move quite a number of times during my teenage life. Switching schools was tough but my situation also meant I couldn't keep many jobs because every time I started settling in I had to move again.
However, since I was young I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur. I had no idea what I wanted to do but I couldn't fight the feeling.
I met a friend whose father worked as a hood cleaning professional for a number of local restaurants. I was intrigued. It didn't take long after for me to approach him and ask to be his apprentice, luckily he accepted my request and took me in. I learned everything I could about the business, everything about hood cleaning and restaurant servicing. I used all the knowledge is had learned in school and in employment to try and find useful ways to help restaurant businesses. Eventually, I was promoted to manager.
Whenever I visited my father in San Diego, I always took the time to go to other hood cleaning companies to ask if they could hire me for a short-term stint, most were delighted to have me. With acquired knowledge and some savings under my belt, I decided to take the leap and start my own hood cleaning business in Portland... and the journey began.I have been cleaning restaurant hood systems and total kitchen cleaning ever since. All the values I was taught I still hold dear up to this day and have tried to instill in all my employees.
